History

Master Pools Alta Ltd. is a privately owned corporation that specializes in the design and construction of commercial and municipal swimming pools, whirlpools, leisure pools and water parks. The company was originally incorporated under the name of Dominion Gunite Ltd. then changed to Dominion Gunite (1964) Ltd. in 1964 when the ownership structure changed. There was a complete ownership change in 1979 and subsequently the company name was changed to Master Pools Alta Ltd.

In the late 1990’s the focus of Master Pools Alta Ltd. changed to include only large commercial and municipal pool projects. This led to expansion into the United States and it resulted in the formation of a subsidiary company called The Pool Company Inc. in 1999. The Pool Company Inc. currently and has been a part of hundreds of projects throughout the United States.

In 2012, Master Pools Alta Ltd. created a joint venture company called International Pool Constructors Inc. in order to have the capacity to compete for large projects from coast to coast, requiring a large work force with specialized skills. International Pool Constructors specializes in the construction of Myrtha pools and works on project across Canada.
For the past 37 years our companies have engaged clientele in providing design and construction solutions for Aquatic Facilities including over 80 projects in different capacities for Municipalities, Communities, and reputable General Contractors.
